"The Knowing is everything we've come to expect from a Tanya Talaga book - meticulous research, impassioned advocacy, searing prose."
--Duncan McCue, author of Decolonizing Journalism: A Guide to Reporting in Indigenous Communities

From award-winning and bestselling Anishinaabe author Tanya Talaga comes a riveting exploration of the dark history of
residential schools, "Indian hospitals" and asylums, for readers of Killers of the Flower Moon and The Rediscovery of America

For generations, Indigenous People have known that their family members disappeared, many of them after being consigned to a coordinated system designed to destroy who the First Nations, Métis and Inuit people are. This is one of Canada's greatest open secrets, an unhealed wound that until recently lay hidden by shame and abandonment.

The Knowing is the unfolding of history unlike anything we have ever read before. Award-winning and bestselling Anishinaabe author Tanya Talaga retells the history of her country as only she can--through an Indigenous lens, beginning with the life of her great-great grandmother Annie Carpenter and her family as they experienced decades of government- and Church-sanctioned enfranchisement and genocide.

Deeply personal and meticulously researched, The Knowing is a seminal unravelling of the centuries-long oppression of Indigenous People that continues to reverberate in these communities today.

Got a black, size L. Great fit and length. So comfy. Perfect for everyday casual, or add some accessories to dress it up.

Cute but clingy
Size: X-Large, Color: Coral Orange
The dress is bright orange which I love. It is cute, very plain, true to size... but sadly not for me because the material is clingy and shows all my "chubby rolls". I'm returning it.

Great choice for prom
Size: 12, Color: Black Patent, Size: 12, Color: Black Patent
These dress shoes were a great choice for my son's prom. They fit true to size and were comfortable enough for him to wear all evening. I was especially impressed by how durable they were. Between all the dancing, walking around, and the usual teenage shenanigans, they held up extremely well and still looked great afterward. The style was perfect for prom, and the quality exceeded our expectations. I would recommend these shoes to anyone looking for a sharp-looking, reliable pair of dress shoes for a special event.

Amazing dress shoes! 👞
Size: 12 Wide, Color: Classic Brown, Size: 12 Wide, Color: Classic Brown
These shoes are a 10/10! Our groomsmen loved them, very comfortable, and the color gradient is even better than pictured! They matched our groomsmen’s outfits perfectly as we got their entire outfit from Amazon. Water resistant and easy to wipe clean. The material is like a tough leather so it keeps its shape and has a professional and sleek appearance. Great value for your money! Would purchase again.

Good value and very clean stylish look.
Size: 9.5, Color: Classic Dark Brown
I REALLY like these shoes, for the price they are very comfortable and the materials seem pretty solid. I'm not an expert on quality stitching but these seem to be pretty good. I got them for my wedding and they looked fantastic. I now wear them to all sorts of fancy events and they are holding strong!
